After the success of our 2020 event, Marathon in May is back for 2021! Join us for this fantastic challenge and go the distance for Tŷ Hafan - complete your marathon by either doing 26.2 miles or 55,374 steps during the month of May!
You can be as creative as you like achieving this; run, cycle, walk, skip or take part in a virtual exercise class! This would also make a great virtual team event with your colleagues.
If you are looking for a bigger challenge, why not attempt to cover the distance of more than one marathon? In fact, why not see just how many marathons you can do?! 

How do you sign up?

Here are two options to choose from:

Option 1

Register for just £5 and receive your virtual motivational pack and a marathon in may finishers medal.

(This option does not include a marathon in may t-shirt).


Option 2 now closed 

Option 2

Register for £13 and receive an exclusive marathon in may technical t-shirt and finishers medal.

(You will also receive your virtual motivational pack upon sign up. You will receive your t-shirt within the last week of the challenge in May).

Why should you take part?

Heart Support ty hafan
It has been proven that regular exercise is beneficial for both your mind and body.
Every penny you raise, helps us be there for children with life-limiting conditions and their families in Wales.

How to get started?

It couldn't be easier! Just follow these 3 simple steps:

Step 1

Choose which sign up option you would like to register for. Please note, if you select the t-shirt sign up then you will receive this on the last week of the challenge. You will then receive an email which includes lots of handy information and a motivational pack with all the details you need to get started.

Step 2

Set up your fundraising page (we recommend using JustGiving) and link your fitness tracker to keep count of your steps or miles (if you don't have a fitness tracker, don't worry you can enter them manually). You can find more information about this in our Miles & Steps Tracking Guide that will be emailed to you. 

Step 3

Be creative with your challenge and fundraising activities you have planned. We understand that it can be difficult to fundraise during the current pandemic but don't worry as your motivational pack will have lots of 'virtual' ideas. The pack will include a fitness timetable!
Upon registration you will receive your motivation pack within your confirmation email – please contact events@tyhafan.org if you do not receive this.

Please ensure you are following the latest Government guidelines regarding social distancing when completing the Marathon in May.
