Hello to all of our volunteers. I hope that you are all keeping safe and well.
We haven’t been able to be together this Volunteers’ Week but I just want to say a huge thank you to you all for giving your time so generously to support Tŷ Hafan and for sticking by our side during the pandemic.
We really are incredibly lucky at Tŷ Hafan to have over 650 volunteers supporting our Charity.
Whether you volunteer at our hospice, shops, offices, Handcrafted, support us at events or by fundraising, support us with our lottery or collection boxes, or if you are one of our ambassadors, trustees, corporate volunteers or staff members — thank you for all that you do!
Our volunteering has been temporarily suspended, and this is to ensure that we keep everyone safe and to help our efforts to control COVID-19. However, we will be needing your support more than ever once the restrictions are lifted.
Our volunteers are our extended family and I am sure that you are all looking forward to seeing each other again. I know for a fact that everyone at Tŷ Hafan is really looking forward to returning to the new “normal”.
We will continue to follow the guidance set by the Welsh Government and Public Health Wales and will be monitoring this closely. Your safety is paramount, and as soon as it is safe to welcome you back, we will be in touch to let you know.
I would just like to say a big thank you from me, the leadership team, the families that we support, staff and everyone else at Tŷ Hafan. You give up so much of your precious time to support us, and your commitment and generosity is so admirable.
Every one of you makes a huge contribution to our cause and we could not do this without you!
If you have any questions you can get in touch with the volunteering team who will be happy to help you and will be keeping you updated during this current situation. You can email us on: firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to welcoming you back soon, but in the meantime, stay safe!
